Find the right way to book.
Some tickets can be bought on a website; others use WeChat accounts or mini-programs. Each entry below tells you which route to use. QR-code guides and visit notices are labelled separately from ticket sales.
For WeChat bookings, open WeChat and search the Chinese name shown below. Check the account operator before entering your details. If a form does not accept your passport, contact the venue or use its staffed ticket desk; do not select a Chinese ID option.

Yangtze River Cableway
In WeChat, search 长江索道 and open the operator's ticket menu. Choose the station, ticket type and available time slot. The official page below provides a booking QR code and instructions, not a browser checkout.

Chongqing Zoo
For pandas, plan an early visit. Search the official WeChat account 重庆动物园 and open its ticket menu. Select your visit date and check the accepted ID types. If passport booking is unavailable, ask at the zoo's staffed ticket desk.

Huguang Guild Hall
Search the WeChat account 重庆湖广会馆, then choose 订票服务 → 购票 (ticket service → buy tickets). Check whether you are selecting admission alone or a performance package. Choose the Chongqing venue, not the one in Beijing.

Chongqing 1949
Search the WeChat mini-program 重庆1949大剧院 to choose a performance and seating area. On the theatre website, select 预订购票 (book tickets) to display the booking QR code. Confirm your passport and language-support needs before paying.

Yangtze & Jialing River Cruise
The operator's Yukexing platform lists 两江经典游 (Two Rivers Classic Cruise). Open the ticket page and select 立即预订 (book now). Check the departure pier, sailing time and ID requirements. For WeChat access, search 愉客行.

These places are free or open to the public. Some still use capacity limits or booking rules, so check the official notice before you leave.

Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum

Red Rock Historic Sites
The museum's current system says routine reservations are no longer required. In WeChat, search 红岩博物馆 and choose 景区登记 (visitor registration). Passport holders should check the registration options or ask staff for help; do not assume a passport works at the automatic ID gate.

Chongqing Science & Technology Museum

Liziba
The monorail viewing area is public. Take the metro as normal and allow time for the crowd at the viewpoint.
Jiefangbei & Chaotianmen
Both are open city spaces. Use them as flexible anchors between timed bookings.
Hongyadong
Admission is free, but busy dates can bring capacity controls. Check the official daily entry notice before heading over.
Ciqikou Ancient Town
Walk in for historic lanes, local snacks, and small workshops. Go early or later in the day for a calmer visit.
Eling Park & Testbed 2
Pair a hilltop city view with an old factory arts district. No ticket is needed for the route itself.
Shancheng Lane
A steep historic hillside walk with old lanes, city views, and small cafes. Leave time to explore without a fixed route.

Natural heritage
Wulong: Three Natural Bridges
Search the WeChat mini-program 武隆景区官方平台, then select 天生三桥 (Three Natural Bridges). Choose your date and check which shuttles and lifts are included. Plan the return transport before paying.
- Book the ticket and transport as one day plan.
- Carry the passport used for the reservation.
- Leave room for the shuttle and walking route inside the scenic area.

Cultural heritage
Dazu Rock Carvings
The venue's published ticket instructions direct passport holders to the staffed visitor-centre ticket desk. For online options, search the WeChat mini-program 惠游大足 and check whether your document is supported. Confirm Baodingshan, Beishan or a combined ticket before buying.
- Check the current opening hours before travelling.
- Use the ticket type that matches the site you want to visit.
- Allow time for the transfer between transport and the scenic area.
