How Payments Work in Chongqing

Foreign visitors can use mobile payments, bank cards, and cash. Set up one mobile wallet before you fly, then keep a card or a small amount of RMB as a backup.

Mobile payments

Alipay and WeChat Pay are the easiest way to pay for taxis, restaurants, convenience stores, and everyday purchases.
